Purple Urple - licious

Ohhhh....I love me some Purple Urple. 

Here's a new flower marble I made with Purple Urple. 

I would have probably called it Grapelie,

but Purple Urple is nice too. ;-D

I made a trade with my new online

friend, Michelle. We were trying to see

if we could pick up each others "vibe" WOW

...she nailed it. This beautiful journal depicts

all the old classic torch songs I've been into

lately and the precious earrings fresh from

a dip in the sea. Thank you, darlin'!!!!

Here's my last beads to post in August...

where did summer go???? OH, that's right,

we didn't have on this year in IN ;-(

Basketry focal:

Bubble implosion. Nice technically,

but where did my colors go??

I found I don't like making little round beads

anymore, but like the colors in this one

This is what I LOVE about boro!!!

This bead is only Purple Sable and Clear

...only one color rod for all this Yummy.

So so implosion...but a good learning experience

Kiln Harvest

So yesterday, I'm not getting the colors I wanted

and when I shut the system down, I realized I had

somehow kicked of one of my oxy cons....DOH!!!

This large focal was not the colors I was going for

(it's that oxy thing again) but I do like

the ceramic look it took on...it's all good.

OK, here goes...I rarely say this about my work,

but this little marble is sooooo pretty! I LOVE IT!

Just started playing with Purple Luster

and have fallen head over heels in love with it.

Also, playing with an encasing technique that

shows much promise for me.

After messing around with kak all day yesterday,

I finally pulled off a nice big blue bead,

made with Spring Luster.

Picked these up today from torching last Friday

Gathering of Shells

The Gathering push is on. Today is packing day and then back to shells. Here are my shells from yesterday. Yes, the on in the front with the flowers on it is mine to go with my new "hippie" shirt ;-D

Trip to Morocco..come along?

My Color Challenge for Artists group is going on a mental journey this week. We are going to Morocco.

Here's our inspiration photo.

Luscious silks, rich tapestries,

Tone on tone elegance...ooooh ahhh.

Here's my first try at it with the pillows

in the bottom right as my inspiration.

Now I started to play with colors

that I think of when I think of Morocco.

I am pleased with the results and am still playing

with the direction these are taking.

Little Round Beadies

I made little beadies for the first time in a long time yesterday and forgot how much fun they were. Here's what I did with my little treasures.

It's been awhile and I started for a pendant and just couldn't help myself. YEAH for marbles.

I made a big giant fish. I've caught bluegill this big and bragged about it...tee hee.

Silvered Glass

Ok, now this is getting tricky. A whole new beast to me. Silvered glass can leave wonderful iridescent trails and blooming colors from within your bead or chasing across the surface. It's like trying to harness lightning....ohh, but so fun!
