One World One Heart Starts Today

Come join us on a magic carpet ride to
help unite bloggers from around the world.
This is an internation event and a great way to meet
new friends and connect with fellow artists.
Click on the OHOW logo on my side bar for more info.

Here's the guidelines.
1. You must have an active blog
2. You must leave a comment to be eligible
for the give away. Be sure to leave contact info,
in case you are the lucky winner ;-D
3. The winner will be drawn at random on Feb 15.

My friend and fellow artisan, Sally Suiter,

wrote some wonderful words inspired by the

piece I made for the give away.

This lampwork heart is hand torched and is

a statement of BIG LOVE. It measures 2 1/4"

from the little heart bail to the tip of the big heart.

Have fun! Leave a comment and you could win!

When we travel through the flame of trials

and hardship, the journey can take us to where

we find the wings of compassion.

They can lift our heart to sing songs of joy

heard around the world.

by Sally Suiter.

I'm so thrilled with all the wonderful new

friends that have stopped by, I'm going

to up the anty by two surpise

gifts in addition to this heart! How fun!

If you love glass work, go check out my friends

Lisa and Julie, ISLAGA members, that

are also riding the magic carpet!

EN "COURAGE" MEANT

Yesterday was about practice and color play.
I also happened upon my first implosions.
I set out to "conquer" implosions and these were my first.
I was SO proud...and should have been (and so should you)
because they were the best I could do at the time.
And OH so big...lol!

Hundreds of implosions later -

Practice does not perfect make -

It makes you better most of the time.
Torch work is like gambling...You win just
often enough to keep you coming back to the table ;-D

More color play from yesterday

Super funky "kitchen sink" Marble
FWIW - If you want it bad enough and
have any feeling left in your behind...
do one more...if your bum is flat and numb...
try again tomorrow. Be proud of your work
and keep chasing the dream ;-D

All this torching has someone all tuckered out.

More Matters of the Heart

I feel an Angel pressed close to my heart.
With sweet silence and joy each day do I start.
Even on days when nothing seem fair,
I reap comfort in knowing that you're always there.

Matters of the Heart

Wrap your love around me.
Let me feel your protective wing.
You are free to fly, because you see,
I'll let you be you.
You'll let me be me.
