Spring is blowing in the wind - NEW VESSELS

I've been busy this week blowing vessels.

Got all excited and had to work two of them up

into necklaces right away ;-D  Samma

Beaded Feather Necklace

I finally took the time to bead up

one of my feathers and some rounds.

Here's a new marble and a couple

of pendants which had me more than pleased.

I couldn't help but snap them up

This is a fused glass cabachon that I made with Lisa Steuerwald

and then beaded it into a reversible necklace.

Practice makes...well new necklaces...

After a class with Emilio Santini,

he showed us some "wax on - wax off"

exercises to improve our heat control in glass. 

One of the exercises is to make consecutive

maria (knobs) on a rod of glass and see how

consistent you can get them. 

It was really fun and I did learn alot...

but just can't let a piece of glass

be "nothing useful".
