I'm still playing with silvered glass and having so much fun. I love it with the organics. Here's my kiln harvest from Saturday.

Playin' catch up...
Here's a couple beadies that I picked up at Lisa's yesterday on our wonderful torch day!
This one reminded me of crab cakes for some reason:
Red Sea Surf: the ivory on this one is textured and looks like rolling surf.

Fun with Silvered Glass
Last night, I made one of the most fun beads I've made in a long time. I took silvered glass and tried to imitate abalone. DANG...I got close. It's so sparklie and luminescent IRL. Diggin' the silvered glass ;-D
This one is just an organic southwest beadie. Fun but just a bead after that one above.

Almost there
Well, the studio is as done as it's going to get for a bit. I have to put fire board behind the torch area and metal on the table top and then I can put the fans in the windows again until I get the ventilation system installed. Me and my wallet are plain worn out. I have another load of pvc pipe coming and can add to that as I go along. Quite the transformation though.
My electroforming station:

Belly up to the Bead Bar friends!
I'm making progress on the studio...way to slowly for my taste, but still progressing.
I'm about as excited about my bead bar as I am the torching area. I have missed my seed beads and gemstones so much and it's great to have them close at hand. This will also be my electorforming station...and it's just KOOL!!!!
OH, looka' all that space ready for the fence rails to store my beautiful glass rods...wheee!
Life is Grand when you get to torch with your pals!
I have been having the most fun lately torching with Lisa Atchison. We just torch our little hearts out, and learn and share and have a blast...oh and drink the yummiest coffee too. If you haven't seen Lisa's beautiful works of art, please, check her blog that is listed on my side bar.

Studio Re-do week
My sweetest friend, Brian had no idea what he got into when he agreed to help me redo the studio. Here's what we've been up to this week.

Little Round Beadies
I made little beadies for the first time in a long time yesterday and forgot how much fun they were. Here's what I did with my little treasures.

Git along lil' doggie...
For some reason, I kept being inspired by skulls yesterday...I know, I know. I had been looking at Georgia O'Keefe's work last week, perhaps that started it all.
This one got an instant fan on Facebook and is leaving for a new home in North Carolina tomorrow ;-D Thanks, Angela!

Project Finding Your Voice
My assignment this week was to channel two bead makers that I admired and combine their styles. I choose Gail Crossman Moore and Brad Pearson. Here's a link to their sites for some awesome viewing:
